Kim Logan Filmmaker, Freelance Writer, Marketer

ABOUT

A Taurus striving to make each day better than the last

Meet

Kim is a seasoned marketing and public relations professional, freelance writer, and emerging documentary filmmaker with a knack for storytelling. Originally from Melbourne, Australia, she traded sandy beaches for the majestic Rocky Mountains over a decade ago. With a background in Film, TV, and Marketing from Monash University, Kim's curiosity has led her on adventures across 30+ countries, capturing stories and honing her video production skills.

Her PR journey began serendipitously in Alberta, where she quickly made her mark by landing clients in top-tier publications. A stint in luxury hospitality marketing further sharpened her creative and strategic skills, but her love for storytelling never waned.

In 2022, Kim fulfilled a lifelong dream by producing and directing her first documentary, Once a Cowgirl, Forever a Cowgirl for CBC’s Creator Network. She thrives on set, bringing energy and enthusiasm, and creating a space where stories come to life authentically.

Balancing a marketing savviness with a filmmaker's eye, Kim specializes in narratives of resilience and overcoming adversity, often set against awe-inspiring mountain destinations. Her passion for outdoor adventures infuses her work with authenticity and she is dedicated to amplifying diverse voices in the outdoor and adventure genres.

Those who know Kim have described her as a golden retriever and sunshine in human form. Some of her top strengths are positivity, discipline, consistency, activator and woo.

Based in Canmore, Alberta, you’ll find Kim trail-running, camping in remote landscapes, or carving fresh turns in backcountry powder— always in pursuit of the next great story.
